Nutrition

The Nutrition Program is an enjoyable and easy way to be involved in your child’s education here at SMCC Nursery School.  Each family is responsible for bringing snack for the entire school twice a year.  This gives our children a chance to share their favorite healthy nibbles with their friends and classmates – they love to push the delivery cart from classroom to classroom to distribute the snacks!

On your chosen day, please bring drinks and snack to your child’s classroom at the 9:00 a.m. drop off.  If you are bringing snack on Tuesday or Thursday, please bring 80 servings.  If you are bringing snack on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, please bring 85 servings.

The teachers put together the list below, with snack suggestions and portion guidelines. Please make your snack selection is from these items. For example, cheese and crackers, fruit and yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, hummus with veggies or pita, are just a few great suggestions. Please NO peanut butter or nuts. Please keep it to healthy foods!

Thank you again for your involvement!
